Agriturismo Da Mauro is just few minutes from Vieste, one of the most famous town in the Gargano, situated in the eastern part of the Spur of Italy.

The characteristic feature of the town, a lot of historical places to visit and the wonderful beaches, repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag, make Vieste a favourite destination for a relaxing holiday in the middle of a pristine nature.

The origin of the city are very ancient and linked to some legends, even dating back to Noah, who stayed on the Gargano after the flood and when his wife Vesta died, he founded a city with her name, precisely Vieste.

But many people left signs in the fascinating town, like Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Lombards, Anjou, Bourbon. Among the monuments we mention Roman Cathedral, Svevo Castle, overhanging the limestone and Alt Door, the old entrance of the city.

Also the nature around Vieste is very fascinating with beaches, cliffs, sea caves, sea bottoms, flora and fauna.

We suggest to visit Pizzomunno beach, which it takes name from a 25 mt high monolith, the symbol of Vieste, Pugnochiuso beach, Architiello San Felice,  an arch carved in the rocks by the sea and by the atmospheric agents, the “trabucchi”, fish machines situated on the coast, and the hinterland of Gargano with mystic places and wonderful natural areas (Umbra Forest).

Vieste is near our apartments and the favourable position is perfect to practice sports as windsurf or kitesurf, to enrich your holidays with fun and adrenaline.
